We offer a wide variety of veterinary services to meet your specific needs in small animal, equine and food animal care and utilize a broad range of technical, diagnostic tools.   Our most recent acquisitions include digital radiography for both small and large animals, as well as, a new digital ultrasound for use in small animal abdomenal and cardiac examinations and equine lameness and reproductive evaluations.  We have also acquired a laser for use in surgical procedures.  We hope to add video endoscopic services for both small and large animals in the near future.

Digital radiography has advantages over traditional films, in our practice, such that we can provide a greater amount of information about a certain area that just simply was not previously available.  It also gives us the ability to communicate information more efficiently with our distant colleagues and animal owners via e-mail and the production of films on compact disk for both practitioners and animal owners.

Digital ultrasound also gives us the advantages of improved image quality and better local and distant communication with colleagues and clientele, as well as, production of examinations to compact disk for practitioners and animal owners.

Use of a laser in surgery provides several benefits compared with traditional surgery in which incisions are made with a scalpel.  Bleeding is greatly reduced, as is, local trauma to the tissues.  Additionally nerve endings are "sealed" by the laser resulting in reduced pain sensation at the incision sight/s.  We have found that with its use, for the reasons listed, our patients have little, to no post-operative swelling and are more comfortable.  Currently, we have used the system for everything from elective procedures such as spays, neuters and cat declaws to an ear canal resection in a dog and even sarcoid treatment and wound management in horses.  As you might imagine we have been very exciting with its introduction to the practice.

We are also in the process of expanding our equine facilities into a neighboring building that will provide us with more room to work with multiple cleints and patients, both indoor and out,  and provide year round surgical options for our patients (see "Equine Service Expansion").  Additionally over the next 2 years we will be developing a rehabilitation center that will contist of an in-ground aqua-treadmill and horse excerciser.

We provide 24 hour emergency care and also serve as a referral source to facilities such as the Veterinary Teaching Hospital at Washington State University, Oregon State University, Idaho Equine Hospital and Bend Equine Hospital.
